Citizens presents a drive-through Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo October 1 – November 1, 2020. Celebrate Special Places while staying safe inside your car enjoying thousands of intricately carved pumpkins as you immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Halloween season.
Tickets are online sales ONLY and sold for each half hour (time slots are your arrival window to the Zoo – it isn’t reflective of trail exploration times). Trail will be open nightly 6:30 – 11:00 pm. Gates will close at 10:30 pm.

Driving through Roger Williams Park Zoo is much different than strolling on the Wetlands Trail. We ask that all our guests adhere to the following:
- Maximin capacity per vehicle is 7 passengers.
- Large commercial or oversized vehicles**, motorcycles, open side vehicles, and recreational devices (bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.) are not permitted.
- No busses allowed.
- Minivans and pickup trucks are permissible.
- Roofs must be on Jeeps and convertibles.
- For safety reasons, visitors cannot ride in the bed of pickup trucks.
**** The maximum size for a vehicle permitted in our Drive Thru Zoo experience is 224″ L x 81″ W x 74 H (roughly the size of a full-sized Suburban)
- For the safety of guests, staff, and the animals, guests NO Honking! Maximum speed 3 mph.
- NO PASSING
- Guests may not exit their vehicle during the duration of the tour.
- Tailgates, doors, and hatchbacks must be closed.
- Objects may not be thrown out of a vehicle’s window.
- Smoking and alcohol are not permitted within the zoo.
- No pets in vehicles.

We need Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular volunteers (16+). We are excited to be able to host this event as a drive-through for 2020. But we need a lot of help and support (in addition to our regular staff) to run this important community event and fundraiser for the Zoo. Please consider volunteering for a fun and exciting shift!

Each drive-through experience will last approximately 25 minutes.
Once the drive-through starts, guests cannot get out of their vehicles. Guests must remain seated and car doors must remain closed at all times when inside the zoo. You may open your windows.
Pets are not allowed into the zoo, so they CANNOT be brought to the drive-through Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. The only exception is service animals.
Yes, for safety reasons, Jeep and convertible roofs must be kept on during the drive-through.
Guests must travel through in the comfort of their own vehicle. No rentals will be provided.
Yes, there are restrooms available in the Zoo's parking lots prior to entering the Zoo. Restrooms will not be available once on the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular trail.
Yes! Enjoy a delicious hot chocolate, warm apple cider donut holes, and so much more. Let the food and beverages come to you! Stay in your vehicle and one of our friendly team members will come to your car.
