2017 Calendar of Events
Winter Festival | December 2, 2017

The whimsical Carousel Village is celebrating the joys of winter with a Winter Festival on December 2, 2017. Join our winter wonderland celebration full of special events and programs. 

Celebrate the holiday season! Afternoon hours are noon – 3:00 pm for kids and families and feature a visit with Santa, ice carving demonstrations, holiday treats and an opportunity to hop aboard the Carousel Express train or ride the historic Carousel. 

During the evening, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, join with friends and family take a horse drawn hayride through the park, visit Santa, see a dazzling holiday light display, enjoy a variety of food carts, sip some hot cocoa and get into the festive mood on the historic Carousel!  All ages welcome.

Price: FREE entrance*

Please note: *Parking is free in the Roger Williams Park Zoo parking lots, and the RIPTA trolley is available throughout the event from noon to 8:00 pm to offer free rides to the Carousel.  There is no cost to attend the Winter Festival.  There are minimal fees for activities: $5.00 for the horse drawn hayride in the Park; $5.00 for a visit with Santa; $3.00 for the Train Ride, and $2.00 for a ride on the historic Carousel.

Food Truck Fridays | May - September

During the Food Truck Friday events, the Carousel is open for rides as well as seasonal activities.

Sensory Friendly Days | April - August

The first Tuesday of each month, April - August, the Carousel Village offers Sensory Friendly Days. We invite those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to explore and enjoy the Carousel Village. For maximum comfort, there will be no music or indoor lights. The Carousel, bounce house and playground will be open to the public, as well as train and pony rides (weather permitting). Standard activity pricing applies.

Visit with the Easter Bunny - Spring 2018

Mark your calendars - The Easter Bunny will be hopping over to the Carousel this Spring!

Summer Peanut Butter Drive - Food Truck Friday | August 11, 2017

August 11th, support the Rhode Island Community Food Bank by bringing a donation of a jar of peanut butter for our Summer Peanut Butter Drive. Drop-off bins will be located outside the Carousel building. Thank you for your help - your donation matters! 

Private Events & Birthday Parties

The Carousel is always available for private events, birthday and holiday parties or any other event that will benefit from the Carousel's unique setting.
