PLEASE NOTE:
All rentals require a cash deposit and are on a first come, first served basis, except where otherwise
noted.
- Wheelchair
rentals are available at the rental kiosk, located at the main
entrance. Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.
Manual wheelchair rental fee is $5, plus a cash-only deposit of $10
(refunded upon return of the wheelchair).
An EZ Cart (automated wheelchair) is also available for rental by reservation.
The EZ Cart is the only rental that may be reserved; all others (strollers,
regular wheelchairs) are on a first come, first served basis. Please
contact the Admissions Department at (401) 941-4998 at least 48 hours
in advance of your visit to reserve the EZ Cart. The rental fee is $25,
plus a cash-only deposit of $5 (refunded upon return of the EZ Cart).
- Stroller
rentals are available at the rental kiosk, located at the main
entrance. Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.
Prices are as follows:
Single Stroller rental: $5, Double Stroller rental: $7
A cash-only deposit of $10 must be paid upon rental (refunded upon return
of the stroller).
- Storage
Facilities/Lockers - There are currently no storage facilities
or lockers available at the zoo. Anything that is brought into the zoo
must be carried with you throughout your visit.

Restrooms,
Baby Changing and First Aid
- Restrooms as well as baby changing and nursing facilities are located throughout the Zoo. Visitors
may refer to the zoo map for locations.
- First Aid
is located in the Sophie Danforth building across from the penguin exhibit.

Zoo Manners
- Please
do not tease or feed the animals. For their health, they are on specially
enriched diets prescribed by a professional veterinarian.
- For safety’s
sake, please stay on the pathways and do not place children on the railings.
- Please
do not throw anything into the animal exhibits. Even simple objects
can be hazardous if swallowed.
- Pets
are not allowed in the zoo. Seeing eye and hearing-aid dogs are the
only outside animals permitted, and only with the appropriate proof
of certification.
- For the
safety and comfort of everyone, no balloons, balls, bikes, skates or
rollerblades may be brought into the zoo.
- For the
health of all our visitors, and the animals, smoking is prohibited throughout
the zoo.
- Please
help with our conservation efforts by disposing your plastic, glass
and aluminum in the zoo’s recycling receptacles.
