Roger Williams Park Zoo to provide Day of Honor Discounts

Special Offer for all Military, Fire, Police, Ambulance and other Emergency Responders


Providence, RI - Roger Williams Park Zoo will offer its annual Day of Honor discount on Sunday, September 8.  All active and retired military, police, fire and other emergency responders will be admitted free of charge on that day and also will receive half priced admission for up to three guests.  Appropriate identification is required to confirm service status.

In addition to experiencing the Zoo and its popular “Big Backyard” outdoor play areas, Day of Honor guests can visit the Cat Country 98.1 booth from 12 - 2pm and say hello to its mascot, ‘Jake the Cat.’ A representative from the Veterans Benefits Administration will be on hand from 11am – 2pm to educate veterans about the benefits to which they are entitled.

Roger Williams Park Zoo is open from 9am to 4 pm daily.  Regular admission is $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for children (ages 3 – 12) and $12.95 for (ages 62+); children under 3 and Zoo members get in free. For more information, visit
