Support Animal Enrichment

*Enrichment can take many forms. Items like this one promote foraging, and encourage our tamarin’s to exhibit natural behaviors.*

Enrichment allows animals to engage in natural behaviors and provides physical and mental stimulation. These elements work to stimulate the senses and allow animals to demonstrate species-typical behavior (ie. foraging) as well as challenge them to think and problem-solve, which helps keep the animals’ minds active, stimulated and healthy.

Our animal care staff has handpicked items that directly benefit the zoo’s animals. You can help us provide needed enrichment to our animals by donating an item from our Wish List. Enrichment is just as critical to our animal’s welfare as veterinary medicine, so please consider making a donation today!
