Calling All Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts - there's a night at the Zoo just for you! We invite Scouts and their families to an exclusive after-hours event at the Zoo that meets badge requirements. Enjoy tours of the John J. Palumbo Veterinary Hospital, music and dancing, animal enrichment making, owl pellet investigation, keeper talks, two new stations, and much more. Each Scout will receive a souvenir Roger Williams Park Zoo Scout Safari Night Patch. (We guarantee patches for scouts who register in advance online only and cannot guarantee patch availability for walk-ins.)

Scout Safari Night includes animal enrichment making, owl pellet investigation, keeper talks, animal encounters, conservation carnival, worm composting & seed planting, tours of the John J. Palumbo Veterinary Hospital, mad scientist lab, a commemorative Scout Safari Night patch and more! All while completing a variety of badge requirements.
Participants can also take part in a service project by collecting items for our animals wish list.

Make your night even more of an adventure - Snooze at the Zoo after your Scout Safari Night experience!
Scout Safari Snore & Roar registrations will include all Scout Safari Night activities, and continue after 8:30pm with a snack, program animal encounters, and a flashlight tour of the North America region of the Zoo. Set up your sleeping bags in the Meller-Danforth Education Center with popcorn and a movie. You’ll need your zzzzs before waking up with the animals! We provide a light breakfast before a morning Zoo tour.
Please note: Scout Safari Snore & Roar capacity is limited to 40 participants. A paid, registered adult must accompany all participants age 15 and younger.
