Time: 6:30 pm - 10:00 am
- Members: $120 per parent/child pair; $60 per additional participant.

The night begins with pizza and ice cream before educators engage you and your child(ren) in an owl pellet dissection, program animal encounters, and VIP access to the world famous Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. Set up your sleeping bags in the Meller-Danforth Education Center with popcorn and a movie. You will need your zzzzs before waking up with the animals! We provide a light breakfast before a morning Zoo tour.
Please note: There must be at least a 1:3 parent/child ratio. This program is not designed for adults without children
Important registration note: There are no refunds unless program is cancelled by the Zoo.
All requests to change the date of your program must be made at least 48 hours prior to the start of your scheduled program. Requests are not guaranteed and are dependent upon availability. A fee of $20 per program participant will be assessed when any change to your program date is made.

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is back October 5 through November 5 delighting audiences of all ages. This year we will travel through time and visit with dinosaurs, explore the ice age, and peek into the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Rome. As guests wander the Wetlands trail they will delight in the history of the Middle Ages, discover the New World, and be fascinated by major inventions like cars, planes, space travel, and the computer. Infused throughout will be the art and music associated with each era. Imagine the history of us all on over 5000 intricately carved pumpkins. Mark your calendars - Tickets on-sale NOW!
NEW IN 2017: Experience the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride and see the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular from 115 feet above the earth. Riders will see out over Providence and into Narragansett Bay in comfortable side-by-side seats. The Soaring Eagle Zip Ride is open every night during the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular weather permitting. Some restrictions apply.

Rise and shine with the Zoo’s herd of African elephants in an exclusive experience before the Zoo opens. Start by dining al fresco on a hot breakfast buffet at the Serengeti Market Café, and enjoy baked pastries, fresh fruit, fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee, and water. After breakfast, you will join a zookeeper that cares for these amazing animals to learn about elephant diets, care, training, and more. You will even walk in the footsteps of giants when the program takes you through the outdoor elephant yard to see the elephant pool, enrichment, and hanging hay nets.

A co-hosted event with Roger Williams Park Zoo and Total Body Affinity
Spend a Sunday morning on your mat adjacent to the majestic elephants at Roger Williams Park Zoo! Reconnect with your mind and body as waterfalls create the serene backdrop with the elephants before the Zoo opens to the public. Complimentary fresh fruit cup and bottled water. Continue your journey with a leisurely stroll through the zoo, and enjoy visiting with all the animals in a beautiful setting.

In the 1900s there were over 10 million African elephants and about 100,000 Asian elephants left. Today, there are an estimated 450,000 - 700,000 African elephants and between 35,000 - 40,000 Asian elephants left in the wild and in Zoos combined! How can you help conserve these majestic land giants?
Join us on Saturday, Aug. 12 for World Elephant Day activities! We have partnered with Ivory Ella, who will be onsite as part of the festivites, to help educate guests on the dangers these magnificent animals face. Meet Kate, Ginny and Alice; experience the top-level care they receive and learn how you can help save their wild counterparts.

The Roger Williams Park Zoo chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) is hosting their 5th annual Bowling for Rhinos event to raise funds for rhino and habitat conservation. Not only can you expect a fun evening bowling with friends and family, but also a night that has a deeper impact on the environment.
