Camp Details
Tadpole Academy is a great way to introduce 4 to 5-year-olds to ZooCamp! Tadpole Academy is a full day session that includes stories, songs, crafts, games, encounters with wild animal ambassadors and zoo exploration in a safe, small group of campers each week. Each Tadpole Academy camper will receive a ZooCamp t-shirt (full week registration required) and a chance to feed the goats in Alex and Ani Farmyard
Note: All Tadpole Academy campers must be completely toilet trained (requiring no assistance in the bathroom).

STORY BOOK ADVENTURES: Eric Carle
Explore the world of animals through children’s literature! In this week of Tadpole Academy, campers will learn all about the animals that have inspired some of their favorite children’s books.
Project Cover Up: Animal Coverings
Fur? Feathers? Scales? Which animals wear what? Come discover the different types of animal coverings and learn how they help them to survive.
Even Weeks: Animal Athletes – Can you move at 200 miles per hour? Can you lift 850x your body weight? There are animals that can! From sprinters to divers to weightlifters, campers will explore the superstar athletes of the animal kingdom
Odd Weeks: On the Defense – What would you do if something was trying to eat you? Run? Hide? Fight? Animals come up with some creative tricks to outsmart their predators. Come discover the different defenses of these courageous creatures!

Important ZooCamp Information
Please Read Before Registering
- Registration for Winter and Spring ZooCamps begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 8th at rwpzoo.org. Registration closes two weeks prior to your desired week of camp, but camps may sell out prior to deadlines.
- Registration for all Summer ZooCamps begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 5th at rwpzoo.org. Registration closes two weeks prior to your desired week of camp, but camps may sell out prior to deadlines.
- Campers must be the minimum age of each camp at the time that camp starts. Requirements are not negotiable and are strictly enforced. RWP Zoo reserves the right to cancel your registration if your camper does not meet the minimum age requirement.
- Refunds, minus a $30.00 registration fee per camper, will be given through February 1, 2025, for Winter ZooCamps, April 1, 2025, for Spring ZooCamps, and June 1, 2025, for Summer ZooCamps. Absolutely no refunds will be given after these dates.
- A $35 sibling discount applies to all full week ZooCamps. First registration at full price, $35 applied to each sibling thereafter. Siblings must be registered within the same account.
- Pre-paid lunch options for full-day campers are available. For $15.00/day, choose from Macaroni and Cheese, Hot Dog, or a personal cheese pizza. All lunch options come with a side of applesauce, chips and a drink.
- Note: Aftercare is NOT available for Tadpole Academy. Those campers must be picked up no later than 3:30 pm.
